The 18-hole Deer Lake Golf Course in Springfield, Missouri features 6,899 yards of golf from the longest tees with a Par of 72, a rating of 71.7 and a slope rating of 129. Deer Lake was designed by William Amick in 1988, opened for play in 1989 and is currently owned and operated by Noel Spering. Host to several area golf tournaments annually (both private and charitable), Deer Lake offers a variety of challenging holes that include sand and water hazards. Deer Lake Golf Course is conveniently located on the west side of Springfield at 5544 W. State Hwy 266 and spans both sides of Interstate 44. Deer Lake has a driving range, pro shop and a bar and grill.
